Admission details
- Both Boys and girls are admitted to this Institution. The birth certificate should be produced at the time of registration. Date of birth once entered in the school register, will not be changed. Pupils having attended another school cannot be admitted, even for a short time, without a transfer certificate.
- Admission to the school is restricted by conditions of age, conduct and an entrance test. The Principal reserves the right to refuse any of the applications without having to assign reason for her/his decision
- No leaving certificate will be issued unless applied for by the parent or guardian in writing and all the dues have been paid. Fees are due so long as no notice of withdrawal is given and the pupil’s name has remained on rolls. Before the withdrawal of pupil, a month’s notice in writing should be given to the Principal.
- If a pupil is withdrawn after January, fees upto March must be paid. A duplicate copy of the transfer certificate shall be issued only for adequate reasons in which case a fee of Rs. 50/- shall be levied.
- Application for transfer certificate at the end of the scholastic year should reach the office before the re-opening of the School in July.
In case a child does not return to the school, the parents should inform the Principal in writing, else, a month’s fees shall be charged. - Application for transfer certificate must be made in the prescribed form(CBSE).
- Admission is open to all, irrespective of class, creed and community.
Admission is open to all classes at Canterbury Bells School from Play Group to Class XII. The curriculum at Canterbury Bells School is structured to nourish the child’s overall personality.
The main entry is in P.G., KG, Nursery, VI, IX and XI. Vacancies in other classes are against withdrawals.
Registration for all classes except X and XII are mandatory.
Registration and examination fee is neither refundable nor transferable.
Registration does not guarantee admission.
The pupil is tested in English, Hindi, Maths and Life Skills.
Admissions to all classes are based on Entrance Test and interaction with the pupil and parents.
Entrance Test for different classes are conducted in the month of /Feb./March every year.
Pupils who qualify in the written test are called for an interaction along with parents. Both parents must attend.
Offer Letter is sent to the selected candidates after the interaction.
Admission stands cancelled if the fees are not paid within the time stipulated in the Offer Letter.
Full term fee would be charged for all the admissions during the term and similarly for all outgoing students during any term including the Board classes i.e. class X and XII students.
The decision of the Admission Committee will be final.
Rules are subject to change at the discretion of the School. The admission of a child will mean a complete acceptance by the parent/guardian of all the School Rules in force or as amended from time to time.
DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED IN CASE OF SELECTION
1. Birth certificate in support of the date of birth mentioned in the Registration Form.
2. The Original Marks Sheet of the qualifying examination
3. Transfer Certificate from the previous school
4. Two passport size photograph
Canterbury Bells School is a Secular School, and any Parent in disagreement may withdraw their child.
All new admissions are on probation for a year. Pupils who make little progress owing to persistent idleness or other reasons may be asked to leave the school at the end of term.
The School reserves the right of refusing admission/readmission.

Age Restrictions
Age Restrictions as on 1st April of the year of joining are as follows:
- Nursery – Between 2,1/2 years to 3 Years
- L.K.G. – Between 3,1/2 years to 4 Years
- U.K.G. – Between 4,1/2 years to 5 Years
- Class I – Between 5 years to 6 Years
- Class II – Between 6 years to 7 Years
- Class III – Between 7 years to 8 years
- Class IV – Between 8 years to 9 years
- Class VII – Between 11 years to 12 years
- Class IX – Between 13 years to 14 years
- Class XI – Between 15 years to 16 years
